		<description>I think you make a good point about families stopping their children from adopting to the new culture of the country they live in.  I think the author&#039;s parents didn&#039;t really prevent her from making American culture her main culture which is why she wanted an American wedding.  She knew little about Vietnamese culture so its clear they didn&#039;t teach her about it while she was growing up so it&#039;s no surprise that she wanted a completely American wedding.  I think your statement about combining both cultures and not forgetting their roots would help both traditions stay allive is very accurate because if they want their marriage to work they will have to mix the two together.</description>
