Wilderness and dessert, wild animals and dirt roads, that is how I picture Africa. I do not think about the skyscrapers and motorcars. I sometimes forget how much globalization changes countries and their cultures. Botswana seemed to me even more global then other African nations, especially since some people there have never seen a tiger before. It just proves that globalization is spreading everywhere.
I was shocked to find that there are so many different tribes and languages in Nigeria alone. It made me wonder how all of them got along, or understood tribal etiquette when they meet one another. It is good think that there are still traditions that are still kept, even after the influences of other nations. Though traditional clothes are still worn, it surprised me that they were so expensive to buy.
